FREETOWN – Sick Pikin Project campaigners continue to call on the public to help save the life of Blessing Finda Abu the young girl who swallowed her earring while in school. The project has been able to raise around eleven thousand dollars and needed three thousand dollar more to fly the child out of Sierra Leone to seek medical attention.
The Sick Pikin Project continues to update the public on progress made so far in raising funds to save this girl child and this is the third Update on the child who accidentally swallowed her earring.
Since the 15th of December 2020 when we started the campaign to raise funds for Blessing Finda Abu, between now and our last update which was 8th January, 2021 we’ve been able to raise a total of USD $11, 850.
While still appealing, the project coordinators have applied for visa for the child and her mother to travel to India for the surgery.
The mother will serve as attendant while in India, Sick Pikin continues to beg kind hearted donors to help the team reach the targeted amount in order to cover the cost of travel and surgery.
Lead campaigner Ishmael Alfred Charles said “we are racing for USD 15,000 so that we can save the life of Blessing, and USD $ 3,150 more to go”.
“Her condition continues to deteriorate as time passes and as she continues to suffer immense pain. We all are worried about what might happen if we take too long before we find a solution, he said”.
In this regards, we are humbly reaching out to everyone and pleading for your helping hand. It is getting more crucial as the days go by. Getting this operation done will only be possible with your support to help save the life of Blessing.
Please let us save Blessing’s life, our mission is to save lives one at a time as we continue to cultivate Love, he said.
