The monthly mini raffle draws of A Call To Business (ACTB) Bank Savings and Loans ‘Save and Win Babala’ promotion was held on Wednesday 4th August 2024 with three winners.
The transparent draw was held at ACTB Bank headquarters in Freetown done in the presence of independent observers from an auditing firm and the media as it marked a new season of rewarding their valued customers nationwide.
ACTB a prominent microfinance institution that recently transitioned into a banking institution launched its “Save N Win Promotion” for their valid customers.
Under this promotion, ACTB customers who save NLe 5,000 every month or NLe 30,000 over six months will be eligible to win monthly prizes that include: DSTV sets, mobile phones, plasma TVs, Bluetooth speakers, freezers, and air conditioners. Additionally, participants stand a chance to win a brand-new car in the grand draw after six months.
Rockslyn Alwyn Findlay, Marketing Manager at ACTB, described the promotion as a groundbreaking event which is poised to set a new standard in the microfinance, banking, and financial sector, announcing that the promotion has already begun and will continue until January 31st, 2025, for the monthly draws.
Findlay explained that ACTB, established as a microfinance institution, transitioned into a banking institution in 2018 after receiving a license from the Bank of Sierra Leone.
“At the start of this year, we decided to fully leverage our banking license. We have faced constructive criticism over the years, and now we are coming out strong as a bank. Today’s event is not only a formal announcement but also a move that will challenge our competitors,” he stated.
He ended by encouraging others to start banking with them as they have lot of good things in store for them as it remains 4 months for the promotion to end. Findlay added that they have got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of the monthly draw.
David A. Kamara, Chief Executive Officer of ACTB, expressed the institution’s dedication to serving its customers and the broader community, emphasizing ACTB’s vision of bringing prosperity to every home in Sierra Leone and their mission to provide superior financial services to all citizens.
“We operate with honesty, transparency, and a commitment to doing what is right at all times,” Kamara stated. “This promotion marks a significant milestone for us, being our second since our establishment over 15 years ago,” he said.
Kamara highlighted that ACTB is now actively entering the deposits market, adding that they are not just doing it for them as an institution but for the thousands of customers that they have across the country.
He reiterated their focus on financial inclusion, aligning with the national financial inclusion strategy from 2022 to 2028, aimed at bringing everyone on board.
Discussing the importance of inclusive finance, CEO Kamara encouraged the habit of savings among their customers, whether through ‘Osusu’ accounts, savings accounts, or current accounts. “Savings is a potent tool that one can use for a rainy day. Whether for your kids, family, or personal goals, saving helps. In this case, it’s a double bonanza; you will be saving for yourself and also have the opportunity to win something big,” he stated.
“Today is another moment for us to create positive energy in the communities where we operate as we are operating in communities just to be able to give lives to our customers trying to develop their businesses,” he concluded.
