President Bio Viewing The Various Trophies

FREETOWN, Sep 13 (SALONE TIMES) – The organizers of the President Bio’s trophy competition (The Palm Tree Sports Foundation) have confirmed to SALONE TIMES Sports that 96 teams from the four corners of Sierra Leone have registered for the 2nd edition of the above competition.

In the first edition, 32 teams competed from few districts BUT according to the National Coordinator of the competition David Momoh, President Bio is the president of Sierra Leone, a reason he said this year they involve teams from the whole country.

He went on that beside the above, President Bio loves Sports and his desire is to see sports develop in the country is great.

In this regard, he said the above competition is to help develop football in the country which is why they are targeting non-division players.

The competition is set to kick-off at the end of October 2021 if the budget for the competition is available according to David Momoh.

Among the 96 teams Western Area have 32 teams, Southern Region 16 teams, Eastern Region 16 teams, the new comers Northern Region 16 teams and North/West Region 16 teams. The competition will be exclusively open to the Chiefdoms and community teams according to the rules and regulations of the competition.
