FREETOWN – Honorable Manso Abu Dumbuya of the great Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) deserves a tap on his back and perhaps a timely recognition in the political history of Sierra Leone, as he has overtime contributed graciously towards the political climate change of Sierra Leone from time in memorial to date.
Honestly speaking, one could recall from the history of the Limbas in the political activities of Sierra Leone since independence to date that the members of the Limba ethnic group are the only indegenious tribe of Sierra Leone that could hardly change from their APC to any other political party. It is from that honest stereotype reality that Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya stood up strong and firm to change the myths of that political narrative.
Today, in the political swimming pool of our country, we have seen many evidences of change: one of which is the historic clinching of Ward 196 Councilor seat in Tonko Limba Chiefdom. As I’m inking my pen to this white paper, Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya has almost succeeded in bringing all folks of his home (Tonko Limba Chiefdom) on board to permanently wipe out the old concept and belief that the Limbas are to be members of only the APC in order to make his noble country men part of the political climate change of our beloved Sierra Leone. As a result, Tonko Limba Chiefdom, Kambia District cannot only boast of having hundreds, but also thousands of SLPP supporters in all the four cardinal points of the this great chiefdom through the relentless and tireless efforts mounted up by the all-rounder seasoned political iron rod of our dearest time Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya: the only Political godfather who can change the dynamics of a game at the end of its threshold minute.
These and many other unique manifestations exhibited by this great political “Ronal-Messi” can prove that Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya is that political legend who can make the impossible becomes possible.
I’m not using this write-up to syndicate the popularity and Political fame of this stainless political character, but rather doing or saying the truth and reality of his high profile human and political characters. He is a man of which many say about him to be a saviour, developmental surgeon, and doctor of philanthropy, political servant, all-rounder, assistance lover, and above all, a man who is highly placed interlectual and moral integrity of purpose in society.
His developments in Tonko Limba Chiefdom, Kambia District and even beyond are uncountable as every corner and loopholes of his Chiefdom in our district hardly grumble about him for either not supporting or hearing about his humanitarian gestures giving out to people and society. All categories of people on earth have encountered and feel his passionate reality efforts: youths, aged, Muslims, Christians, women, adolescents, school going pupils, university students, farmers, fishermen, traders , bike riders, Paramount Chiefs, Section Chiefs, village headmen, teachers, and above all medical service providers. He is a man that believes in total inclusiveness in society!!
He is the commander of the faithful, the primus interpare (first amongst equals), the worth celebrating political figure, and above all, he is absolutely next to none.
Whiles I end my submission, I would like to leave you with this: “The height in which Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya has reached cannot be compared, at the moment, with a sudden flight. While Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya continues to be an example worth emulating by young and potential politicians, many other political figures of his age and type want to miraculously catapult themselves into his political reserved position; but oh no, such miracle cannot happen overnight– it has to take one with decades of great political wisdom and experience before thinking to reach his admirable height.
