FREETOWN – Sierra Leone finest representative and hope for Africa with vast philanthropically experience, Mariatu Kargbo aka Maliya took to the stage to thrilled Africa Ambassadors at this year’s “China-Africa Cooperation Forum 20 Anniversary reception”.
The forum which attracted Africa ambassadors emphasized on Chinese friendship with other countries among other things.
Maliya did her first performance in that forum in 2018 in the presence of President Xi Jinping and 52 presidents.
Due to the Covid-19, this year’s Forum only invited Africa Ambassadors and ministries among others dignitaries.
After a tremendous stage performance, Maliya and team received high commendation from their audience.
Mariatu Kargbo expressed appreciation to be back on stage for the second time in that forum. She was also delighted and congratulated Ambassador Wu Peng for his new position as Director-General of the African Department of Foreign Ministry.
Ambassador Wu Peng role in Sierra Leone as Chinese Ambassador was welcomed by all walks of life and whom Mariatu Kargbo described as a man that always leaves good footprint.
Mariatu Kargbo thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Wu Peng, Director-General of the African Department of Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Xu Jinghu, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with other Countries, all leaders and ambassadors, all Chinese and African actors, the university students, and all the leaders and teachers who thought her.
Some of Mariatu Kargbo performance was purely on Chinese culture, she promised herself to learn more about Chinese culture in other to promote Sino-African friendship and culture to the people of the world.
“The African and Chinese people are good brothers for life. I wish China and Africa friendship forever. I wish China – Africa Cooperation Forum more and more success!”
