KONO, March 11, (SALONE TIMES) – The Coalition For Change (C4C) Member of Parliament for Constituency 028 in Kono, Hon. Sahr Charles has launched one bridge project at Kamira Chiefdom worth about two hundred million Leones (200,000).
The reason for the bridge project at Tumbudu is to connect other communities in order to improve trade and enhance other socio-economic activities in that part of the District. According to the MP, the bridge is one of his campaign promises since the people are struggling to move from Tumbudu to other parts of the communities for a very long time during the rains.
Hon. Sahr Charles who deeply involved in the work to demonstrate his commitment to provide a standard bridge for his people that will last for a number of years explained that the bridge will also improve the lives of the people living in that part of the District
Hon. Charles said he has his constituents in mind especially now that the country is seriously challenged with economic down turn.
The C4C MP continued that he will not rely on the difficulties some of them are faced with, serving in the opposition bench, promising to construct the other bridge to make his Constituency accessible.
Hon Sahr Charles also highlighted the challenge over the years to transport goods from one point to the other but expressed hope that the construction of the bridge will eradicate such burden and save more lives and properties.

She said during the Covid-19 outbreak, Hon. Charles donated sanitizer, Veronica rubbers, soap and other items including food to reduce the effect of the scourge.
A bike rider, brahim Janneh (MDD) said although other eminent personalities are coming from that end, couple with other big mining companies they have never thought of constructing the bridge.
