Africell Reaffirms Commitment to Media with Sponsorship of SLAJ Iftar

Africell Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the media by sponsoring the SLAJ Media Iftar 2026, held at the compound of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation in Freetown.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Africell Sierra Leone, Shadi Gerjawi, the company’s support reflects Africell’s long-standing culture of promoting and strengthening the media landscape in Sierra Leone.

The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) Media Iftar is an annual gathering that brings together journalists, editors, bloggers, and other media practitioners during the holy month of Ramadan. The event provides an opportunity for members of the media fraternity to break their fast together, share a meal, and offer prayers in a spirit of unity and reflection.

Africell’s support for this year’s Media Iftar underscores the company’s continued partnership with the media and its dedication to fostering strong relationships with journalists, who play a vital role in informing the public and shaping national discourse in Sierra Leone.
