Former Minister of Local Government and Lands in the Government of Former President Ernest Bai Koroma and a Political Juggernaut, Finda Diana Konomanyi has publicly declared her support for Dr. Ibrahim Bangura.

She made her declaration and endorsement during a visit to Kailahun district, urging delegates to prioritize humility, capacity, and quality leadership in their choice of flagbearer, describing Dr. Bangura as the candidate who best embodies those qualities.

“In over three decades in politics, I have never misled my people,” she said. “I am supporting Dr. Bangura because of what he stands for – reconciliation, unity, and national rebuilding.”

She called on supporters across the eastern region to rally behind what she described as the “fittest aspirant” for the APC flag.

Meanwhile Dr. Bangura called for a moment of silence to mark the anniversary of Sierra Leone’s civil war, which began in Kailahun on March 23, 1991, reflecting on the district’s history,

“Kailahun holds a special place in my heart,” he said, commending APC supporters for their loyalty.

Dr. Bangura thanked former President Ernest Bai Koroma for infrastructural developments, including the road network and pipe-borne water project, calling on party supporters to remain disciplined and united for the 2028 elections.

The event was well-attended by APC executives, stakeholders, and newly elected ward chairmen and women, who reaffirmed their support for Dr. Bangura’s leadership aspirations.
