FREETOWN, July 22 (232News) – Realsalonean Children’s Foundation (RCF) as part of their mission and vision reached out to physically challenged, blind and poor people within the Cotton Tree and Kissy Road in Freetown with food and non-food items.
The donation according to the Founder of Realsalonean Children’s Foundation (RCF), Frederick Tarawallie, was to join in extending their good gesture during the Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
He disclosed that 200 physically challenged, blind and poor people were targeted for the donation, noting that the Foundation is for children but that they decided to reach out to those people because they too have families which include children.
“We chose people with disability because they have families that include children. We know they are not able to feed themselves unless they beg from abled people, and they in turn take it home for their children that why we decided to reach them,” he affirmed.
That their vision is to build a global community with compassion, love, and eliminating poverty so that children and other less privileged people can have the opportunity to realize their full potential, and that their mission is to work in partnership with organizations, children, and communities to create meaningful changes by supporting community development and promoting children’s health, education, human rights, and overall wellbeing.
He emphasised that they are ready to help poor people in the country and called on other organizations to support them in order to accomplish their aims.
The donated items included: rice, tomato paste, sugar, onions, pam and vegetable oil, and clothing worth millions of Leones.
Beneficiaries commended the move taken by RCF and prayed that they are blessed with more to do more for the less privileged in the country.
