Santuary Praise Church usually hosts one of the biggest worshiping service in Freetown

FREETOWN, Aug 16 (SALONE TIMES) – Suspension of congregational worship in Sierra Leone has been lifted, a public notice from the National Covid-19 Emergency Response Center (NaCOVERC) revealed

The public notice stated that the suspension of congregational worship is lifted effective today Monday 16 August with some measure to be maintained

That service must not last for more than 90 minutes and that there should be proper use of facemask and social distancing which shall be at least one seat space between worshipers.

That hand-hygiene should be strictly followed and that there shall be regular disinfection of seats, microphone and any surface through which COVID is transmissible

The Public Notice revealed that NACOVERC and Inter-Religious Council will conduct regular monitoring and supervision to ensure compliance with guidelines for the resumption of congregational worship.

The notice also stated that only sporting activities conducted by National Sports Authority (NSA) and at their designated venues shall take place at the moment but that all players should show proof of their Covid-vaccination or proof of a negative PCR test before accessing the venue.

That there should be proper use of face mask, social distancing among spectators and officials and that the NSA, sporting associations will be held responsible if the rules are not followed.
