The Secretary General Recieving The Life Cards and the Certificate from Sheku

FREETOWN, Aug 19 (SALONE TIMES) – The owner of Freetown Giants FC Sheku Fofanah has gone in a deal with Crispin De Souza George to buy the above club and become the new owner of the club.

The deal which involves all the players of the club took place few days ago for an undisclosed fee. The signing of the document and the handing over ceremony took place at the John Street’s office of the CEO of the new owners in Freetown. The CEO Usman A. Timbo Esq. told the media that they are taking over the above club to let them be part of football development in Sierra Leone.

The reason he said they are taking over a club that has grassroots players which they will groom to become future national players for the country and to play professional football out of Sierra Leone.

For now, he said they will not be looking too much for profit making as it will be a long process. The CEO though appealled to the players to take the game serious and see what they will do for them.

He told the media that there immediate target is to see how they will qualify the team to the Division1 league. After that, he said their next target will be to promote the team to the premier league.

The former owner of the club Sheku Fofanah before handing over the club certificate, the life cards of the players and other documents of the club to the new Secretary General Dalton Shylon said he is happy for the deal as he believes the club is moving into good hand that will take good care of the players. He assured the new owners that he will be available at any time if they need his support. In response to the deal, Crispin De Souza George and Elvino De Souza George living in the diaspora expressed their gratitude over the deal through zoom.

The two promised that they will do all they could do humanly possible to develop the club.
