…AYV and LAKE Group Renew Decade-Long Partnership as AYV Hosts Miss Freetown Boot Camp
(232news) — The winner of Miss Freetown 2026 will become a Brand Ambassador of the AYV Media Empire, following a commitment announced by AYV Founder and CEO, Amb. Anthony Navo Jr.
The announcement reinforces a renewed partnership between AYV and LAKE Group, with AYV serving as the Official Media Partner of Miss Freetown 2026, building on more than a decade of collaboration.
From 19–27 November, AYV will host all 12 finalists representing communities across Freetown, providing a structured programme designed to prepare them for the grand finale and beyond.
The boot camp will include:
Residential accommodation and meals
Leadership development, public speaking, etiquette and professional grooming
Safe, supervised transport for official activities and visits to historic sites
Styling and wardrobe guidance for different events
Media exposure across AYV’s platforms
For more than ten years, AYV has supported Miss Freetown and LAKE Group, contributing to the pageant’s growth through media exposure, professional collaboration and behind-the-scenes support.
The partnership also reflects a longstanding professional relationship between Amb. Navo and Dr Alhaji K. Tarawally (Laj-K), Founder and CEO of LAKE Group.
Laj-K’s journey at AYV included roles as a presenter and producer, editor of AYV News (radio), Programme Coordinator for AYV Radio and TV, and Head of the Internship and Volunteers Recruitment and Training Programme, as well as Programme Monitoring and Quality Assurance.
