Board Chairman and the entire Board Members

FREETOWN, Oct. 11 (SALONE TIMES) – Members of the Sierra Leone Cricket Council on Tuesday 6th met to discuss matters pertaining the development of their association.

According to them, during the meeting some very important matters came up which they said need the attention of the Board and Management without delay.

In this case, they said they are respectively calling on the Board and Management to a strategic development meeting tomorrow Saturday 9th October 2021 at the SLCA Secretariat at 4:00 pm prompt.

According to one of the Council members, Michael Kargbo former Technical Director and Chairman Board of Directors Francis Samura has acknowledged their request to meet as designated accordingly.

Another council member assured that the meeting will be peaceful and very fruitful. He went on that the above meeting is no way a witch-hunt for any member but something very important to develop the game.

 The Chairman said the Board has nothing against meeting with their members hence it is peaceful and it is about matters that can develop the game.

 He went on that they voted them in the Board to run the affairs of the game and if they see anything very important to discuss with them, they will welcome them.

He went on that such meetings are good than someone going to the social media to vent out his grievances.  Before the request of the above meeting, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Philip Amara was planning to call all the cricket members to a peace retreat.

According to him, after the election, members are not that much united the way it used to be and that it will not be good for the development of the game.

 The Council members will also like to know the latest on the preparation of the senior male national team (The Patriot) for the ICC Senior Male T20 World Cup Qualifier in Rwanda this month.

But before going to Rwanda, the team will make a stop in Lagos Nigeria to play some friendly matches before they will finally depart to Rwanda.

In the meeting, the Board will update the council members on how they selected the final 14 players and who and who will make the journey to Nigeria and Rwanda.
