FREETOWN, Nov. 15 (232news.com) – The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone who doubles as the General Overseer of Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly accompanied by his Exco, wife and other church elders donated medical, provisions and water to the 34 Military Hospital and Connaught Hospital respectively.

The donation was geared towards the devastating incidence at Wellington on the 5th November, 2021 that left many dead and some seriously injured, currently responding to treatment in different facilities within Freetown.

Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly extended their heartfelt condolences to those that lost their loved once in that incidence.

He said they added provisions and water on their list which he hoped will help survivors to recover fast because most of the victims are unable to eat heavy food.

He read from Matthew 25: 40-45 which indicated that what the Doctors are doing is not to men but to God.

“Our prayers will continue with you. What you are doing to the patients, you are doing it to God, that is what His Word said. May God strengthen you, God is recording what you are doing and He will bless you.”

Connaught Hospital Secretary, Foday Musa after receiving the items extended thanks and appreciation to Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly and his team for their support.  

He said they are overwhelmed with supply but this is not the best time for such.

He promised to utilize whatever they were receiving for it intended purpose.

“This items come at the very right time because what we observe now is that even though the medical is going alongside with the patients but what they need now is nutritional intake. With this one we are hopeful now it will help save their lives.”

At the time of the donation, Foday Musa said out of 29 patients 27 remain as the doctor said the two were 90% burnt clinically but the 27 are doing fine and they are hopeful they will come up strong and go home while others are coming for treatment as out patients.

He spoke about their extended service to other communities and clinics because they lacked the expertise and the 9 additional medics WHO sent to the added number of doctors just to provide service for the burnt patients.

“We want to thank God we still have some patients with your prayers, we pray they come out alive to join their families again. We want to thank you Bishop for reaching out with such support.”
