FREETOWN, Feb. 24 (232news.com) – Sierra Leone finest and biggest GSM operator Africell and the Africa Young Voices (AYV) have launched the third edition of Housemates Salone with the theme “Di Game get Yagba”.

The official launch of Housemates Salone Season 3 which took place on Sunday February 13 at Mamba Point Hotel, Lagoonda, Aberdeen in Freetown was graced by people from all walks of life.

The launch saw the passion from young people in and out of the country wanting to demonstrate their talents.

Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Dr. Memunatu Pratt in her statement said as a government and ministry they always support such events in order to use the opportunity to rebrand the country and show the rest of the world that something good could come out of Sierra Leone.

“Housemates Salone has always been a remarkable event. Over the years the opportunity of showcasing what Sierra Leoneans can do had been absent but this is a perfect opportunity for young people to bring out their talents. A number of those that were in season 1 and 2 have done well and they are now bolder.”

She pointed out that now the reality TV show is global, people will be glued to it.

She emphasised that those that will be going to the House should have a hallmark of discipline in the way they speak and the way they carry themselves as the show is a big challenge.

Africell Chief Executive Officer, Shadi Ghazawi spoke about the wonderful partnership with AYV since the show began, and that this is going to be different from the past.

He disclosed that the process for one to obtain the form will be done online.

AYV CEO Anthony Junior Navo, thanked all their partners for their continuous support. He said they will not be 100% perfect as they were sure to make mistakes but as they go along they are going to fix them.

“We are not perfect. Season 3 will be the first reality TV show on DStv Africa. We are creative and we have the best of minds in this country. All they need is the platform and AYV and Africell are ready to provide that platform for them. Thanks to the people of Sierra Leone for their collaboration they have been with us from day one.
