FREETOWN, July 14 (SALONE TIMES) – On the 5th July 2022 the executive of the Sierra Leone Sports Writers Association (SWASAL) received formal complaint from one of their members Martin Wusha Conteh. In his complain the Sports producer of Mount Aureol CTN Radion Martin alleged that he was assault by the Secretary General of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Chris Kamara and 4 Group4 Security Guards attached to the SLFA Secretariat at Kingtom. According to Martin he comment on a match allegation on four teams in a social media which he said did not go down well with Chris. He went on that apart from the words Chris used against him in the social media he physically attack him at the FA’s secretariat were he went to interview the head coach of the home base national team and the U-15 national coach. Martin said while at the FA Chris called him with a threaten remarks that he will attack him physically wherever he will come across him. He said when Chris notice that he was the FA Secretariat he came out of his office and held him by his throat and order the security guards to drag him out of the compound. The security guards he said attacked him and forcefully took him out of the compound. In lieu of the above the executive have set a five man committee to investigate the matter in seven days and report to the executive. The five man committee members are Moses Kargbo as Chairman, Donald Theo-Harding, Sheku Saccoh, Ismael Saidu Kanu and Alhassan Tigo Bangura. Both Chris Kamara and Martin Wusha Conteh are SWASAL members but the executive has assured its members that anyone found guilty in this matter will face the full penalty of the association. Sources from the FA alleged that Martin challenged the Secretary General while he was trying to explain the issues surrounding the match fixing allegation.
