The two Semi-final matches in the COFA Inter-Community league never played to the end. This was due to riotous conduct by the two communities, Fullah Tong and Mountain City. In the first Semi-final match Mountain City held Kroo Town Rangers to a draw at full time. As the final stage was played on knock-out basis the two teams went into penalty kicks. Mountain City started the penalty kicks score one and missed two kicks while the Rangers scored both two of their kicks with their third kick interrupted with stones coming from the stands which video evidence stated it was from the fans of Mountain City. The second Semi-final match was between Summer City and Foullah Tong. Close to the end of the full time Summer City was leading 2-1 against Fullah Tong when Fullah Tong scored a goal which the referee disallowed for foul against the goalkeeper. The referee’s decision did not go down well with the fans of Fullah Tong fans who started to pelt stones at the presidential stand and into the pitch. The referee called off the match with immediate effect for security reasons. The disciplinary committee of COFA looked into the referee’s report for the two matches with video evidences and came out with a decision that they should give the points to Summer City and Kroo Town Road who will now play in the final match for the President Bio’s trophy. Besides losing the points Foullah Tong and Mountain City were also slammed with an indefinite ban with a fine of Le2M (old money) Le2000 (new money) each for misconduct. The organizers are yet to announce date for the final match.
