The Gbinti Old Students Association (GOSA), has conducted election to usher in new executive at Richard Allen Secondary School in Freetown.

The four executive positions are as follows, President, Secretary General, Financial Secretary and Auditor General.

He said one of the beneficiaries started going to school through the holiday classes that was organized by GOSA, adding that due to his output, GOSA decided to support him as he became the head boy of the Roman Catholic Primary School after his common entrance examination, he went to the Gbinti Secondary School and later sat the WASSCE and became a police officer.

He also said the total number of members who are elected as new executives are 30 in number whilst narrating on the issue of transportation that reduces the number of attendances to meetings.

He further stated that if they work for the interest of the school, they could be rewarded by God.

According to the Electoral Commissioner, most of them have benefited from the Association because  they are loyal to what they are doing.

He narrated that few years ago GOSA donated computers, books among others to the school despite the economic challenges.

Dainkeh continues that he is the first member to conduct an election because over the years the organization will take a family person whom they respect to conduct the election and not even a member of the Gbinti School.

He said all the members have decided this year to conduct the election on their own. He stated that GOSA is growing with branches in Gbinti and the diaspora which was not the case before.

The newly elected Secretary General, Mahmoud S. Jah said he started as an ordinary member and he encouraged all members of GOSA especially the youth to participate fully in the Association as without their support, they won’t go anywhere.

The Financial Secretary, Mahmoud Wurie asked for forgiveness and assured them of   controlling their finances and he encouraged members to be supportive

The president elect, Mohammed Bundu (MBB) thanked the Commissioner for the hard work, pointing out that the association chose the right person but with the support of everyone he will be successful
