The President of Sierra Leone Lawn Tennis Association Kelvin E Kellie has been in the above position for two terms. But as their constitution allows them to go for third term in office, Kellie wants to go for third term in office.
The constitution of the Tennis Association was reviewed few years back in which they adopted that a president has the right to go for third term in office if they vote for him or her.
The adoption of the third term was unanimously agreed upon in the congress by the majority of the Tennis delegates. The association has earlier released that the 4th March 2023 is the elective congress.
Kelvin said his aim to go for the third term came from the delegates of Tennis whom he said believed in his development desire.
Kelvin said for now he is concentrating on development projects for the game. The project, he said is to build more Tennis courts in the provinces.
Kelvin went to remind President Bio about the promise he made to meet with all other sports that have been winning laurels for Sierra Leone.
This meeting, he said it will be very important as it will be the time President Bio will know about the problems they are undergoing. President Bio he said has poured a lot of money into Sports in Sierra Leone but says football is having the Lion’s share of the money.
