Prince Vandy Sualley former Treasurer now the President of NOC

The newly elected NOC President Prince Vandy Sualley in his manifesto mentioned that he will start from where his former president ended.

One of the key things is to see that Sierra Leone becomes a competing nation in Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and the All Africa Games.

When he took over office from Dr. Coker his first call was to meet with all the association presidents, Secretary Generals and technical heads.

The essence of the meeting was to know about their preparations for the upcoming Games. The meeting was also organized to know about the constrain they are facing in the preparation for the games and other international competitions.

During the meeting, the new Chef De Mission highlights all the upcoming competitions for both youth and senior international competitions.

After the general meeting at the OlymAfrica Center in Godrich, Freetown, he decided to hold one and one meeting with the various sporting disciplines.

 Already the NOC President has met with Weightlifting Association, Athletics Association and with the Boxing Association on Monday.

In the meeting, Prince Sualley met with the President of Boxing, the Secretary-General, the Admin Secretary the Technical Head and the Women’s Representative in the Boxing association.

Prince updated the team on the reason for the meeting. In his statement, he first welcome them and said the meeting was to let them update him about their preparations for the upcoming Games.

He went on that they have created a new database wherein they are going to register athletes both at home and abroad. With the data, he said they will know which athletes need high-performance training for the upcoming Games.

He told them to be updating the NOC about their activities and their plans ahead. The Boxing executive updated him about their present preparation for the Zone 2 Boxing competition in Senegal.

They told the NOC executive that they will be heading to Bo where they will be camping for the competition in Senegal. They also informed the president that the Zone 2 competition is part of the Olympic Games preparations.
