The national Paralympic team of persons with disability is preparing to take part in the Regional Para Sports training in Accra Ghana on the 15th June 2023.
In this regard, the team leader of the Paralympic Committee Unisa Deen Kargbo on Wednesday visit the NOC Headquarter to present the athletes and the officials that will be travelling to Ghana to the NOC executive.
He said that they want to maintain the cordial relationship between them and the National Olympic Committee.
The team leader told the NOC executive that the training will involve coach’s course, Technical Officials training, Athletes forum, Athletes classification and competition.
The team leader went on that the above training will be the best opportunities for athletes to classify in readiness for certify IPC Competitions.
This training, he said is the first step for the Paris 2024 Paralympics Games. He praised the Ghana Paralympic Committee and the Africa Paralympic Committee for creating such opportunity for the Para athletes.
The Team leader went on to commend the NOC executive, National Sports Authority and the Ministry of Sports for the provision of the need support.
Unisa also present athletes who have qualified to take part in the Beach Games that will be hosted in Tunisia this month.
The President of NOC Prince Sualley thanked the Team leader and appealed to the athletes to put Sierra Leone on the map and return home with laurels.
