The Cricket Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League ended on Saturday with a decisive match between Mid-West CC Vs Special Line CC at the POW Ovals Kingtom Freetown. Special Line came into the Premier League for the first after qualifying from the Division1 league as champions.

In the match Mid-West won the toss and opted to bat first. Mid-West were all out in 19.2 overs with 126 runs scored. The captain of Special Line George Sesay an all-rounder won the man of the match award with 49 runs off 36 balls. George hit the boundary with 5 4s runs and over the boundary with 2 6s runs. In bowling as the present fastest bowler in Sierra Leone George took 2 wickets with 1 maiden and conceived 9 runs in 3.2 overs. Back up with George in the bowling Kasho Macfoy took 3 wickets in 4.0 overs and conceived 18 runs. In the batting for Mid-West George Ngegba and Alhassan opened the batting. The partnership scored 30 runs when Alhassan ran out of luck when he was caught with just 1 run off 7 balls. George remains in the crease and scored 25 runs off 18 balls before he was caught by Emmanuel Mansaray from Kasho’s bowl. John Bangura fought hard but was squeezed to score only 34 runs off 39 runs. Special Line won the champion trophy with a new of the first new-comer ever to win the league with unbeaten records.
