In his courtesy call statement to the Sports Minister Madam Augusta James Teima, the President of NOC Prince Vandy Sualley told the Sports Minister that they have an award for President Bio from the president of ANOCA. He went that the award was presented to them by the ANOCA President Mustapha Beraf for President Bio in November last year during the ANOCA Secretary General meeting at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Freetown for his relentless effort to develop sports in Sierra Leone. Prince went on that it was though the intention of the ANOCA President to do the presentation himself to President Bio himself and deliver a message from the executive of the Association of National Olympic Committees in Africa (ANOCA). But he said at that time the Minister of Sports by Ibrahim Nyelenkeh who would have led them to meet with President Bio was in Dubai for the Leone Stars friendly match that took place last year. He went on that after the meeting the award was given to his predecessor the former NOC President Dr. Patrick Coker to do the presentation in their absence on their behalf, but he said he too tried all out but could not get the opportunity to do the presentation. Dr. Coker later handed over the award to Prince Sualley when he won the NOC Presidential position few months back. Prince Sualley appealed to the new sports to transmit the message to President Bio that they have a gold platted plaque award from ANOCA with the name of the President written on it for his hard work to develop sports in Sierra Leone.
