Sierra Leone Planned Parenthood Association Sierra Leone (PPASL) has joined other partners to mark this year’s International Youth Day.

Addressing young people on the 12th August, 2023 to mark that day, PPASL Youth Officer, Samuel Yemeh Koroma, said they celebrate strength, resilience, and boundless potentials within each and every youth.

Yemeh Koroma urged the youth to embrace the power they hold to shape the world and be the catalysts for change.

“You are the torchbearers of a future that is brimming with possibilities. Your energy, enthusiasm, and innovative spirit are the driving forces that can propel society towards progress and development. Your dreams can transcend boundaries, break barriers, and create a better tomorrow. Believe in yourself and your ability to make a difference”, Koroma stated.

He went on to say that youth is not just a phase of life; it is a mindset, it is the willingness to challenge norms, question the status quo, and find solutions to the complex problems of their time.

He revealed that it is the audacity to dream big, work hard, and push the boundaries of what is deemed possible.

He concluded by encouraging them to be courageous to confront adversity, learn from failures, and never give up on your aspirations.
