As a way to further professionalize players transfer within the local leagues system, the Sierra Leone Football Association has introduced a local licenses program for all individuals who want to represent and serve as intermediaries for player’s contract negotiations. The problem of who is resenting a particular player for contract negotiations has long been a problem in Sierra Leone for most players. In this case the FA have said with this new system put in place only licensed agents (FIFA/SLFA) are authorized to represent players within the country’s local leagues, and SLFA Agents License holders are qualified for local contract negotiations only. According to the press release interested members are requested to sign-up by obtaining registration forms now available at the SLFA Secretariat at Kingtom, Freetown for Le100 fee. According to source from the FA the Secretariat the applicants will go through the various procedures and they will interview those that apply before they will issue the licenses to those qualify. The FA have also appoint Abu Bakarr Kamara as the local Licenses Manager whom they said applicants should meet for further information.
