232NEWS, FREETOWN Before the start of the ongoing inter-community league at the Parade field, one of the key rules of the league was players should only sign for one community. To stop this, the league organizers formed a WatsApp forum for all the participating teams to post the photos of all the players they have sign. In the above, league communities could sign a player at any time during the league hence he has not played or signed for any of the teams in the league. In a meeting with the community representatives before the kick-off date it was agreed that any player found in the act of signing for two communities will be penalized and will not play in the league for that year. But according to the Chairman of the association Philipson Cline-Cole even with what they all agreed on they have received several complains from communities on players signing for two communities. He went on that before taking action they have asked the teams involve to go back home and solve it amicably among themselves. But he said if they failed to resolve it and the disciplinary committee found out a particular player is guilty of the act that player will be banned from playing in any COFA organized league for two years. Meanwhile 14 matches have been played peacefully in the league. In today’s match Ginger Hall will host Aberdeen Road at the Parade field. On Tuesday the defending champions Kroo Town Rangers FC will lock horns with Soja Tong in a must win match for both teams.
