Bo Rangers FC celebrating victory

Bo Rangers, the Leone Rock Premier League champions, concluded their season with a resounding 5-1 victory over Lamboi FC. The champions had already secured the title before this final match, with several games still to play. The Southern Arena was abuzz on Sunday as the Premier League Board presented the championship trophy to Bo Rangers after the match.

The game saw an early goal from Mohamed Lamin in the 11th minute. An own goal from Lamboi FC in the 18th minute doubled the lead, and Mohamed Kabba scored twice in quick succession, netting his first in the 20th minute and adding another in the 30th minute, bringing the score to 3-0 by halftime. Lamboi FC managed a consolation goal through Keifala Lebbie in the 67th minute, but Kabba completed his hat trick in the 83rd minute, sealing the 5-1 victory.

Mohamed Kabba was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Acting General Secretary Benson Bawoh. The trophy presentation, led by Sports Minister Augusta James Teima, capped off the celebration, with dignitaries including the Vice President 1 of SLFA and Regional FA chairmen in attendance. Bhantal FC, newcomers who finished in second place, received the runner-up trophy and silver medals.

Elsewhere in the league, Real Republicans lost 1-4 to Ports Authority, Bai Bureh Warriors defeated Bhantal FC 1-0, and the Kholifa vs. Kahunla match was postponed. The match between Wilberforce Strikers and FCFC ended abruptly over a disputed penalty, with the matter now before the Premier League disciplinary committee. The decision will determine whether Republicans or FCFC will be relegated to Division 1.
