U-19 Players Celebrating Their Qualification To The Division 2

The Team Manager for the national U-19 Men’s Cricket team Abu Best Kamara have assured Sierra Leoneans that his Boys will go all out to win medals and qualify to the next stage of the ICC U-19 World Cup qualifier.

Few days ago, the technical team of Cricket Sierra Leone selected the final 14 players that will be representing Sierra Leone in the ICC U-19 World Cup Division 2 qualifier in Tanzania next month.

Abu Best have asked Cricket fans to have faith in the team as he is confident that they selected the best among the lot. He went on that the players that were dropped are also good players but only that the organizers are asking for 14 players per team.

Best said 60% of the 14 players are complete all-rounders who can bat and bowl well. As a Police officer, he said discipline is what he has put into the team.

For the past years in Cricket administration, he said he knows the characters of the players which according to him, they have been working on for the past month.

He went on that despite the constrains, they are facing with the raining season they have prepared enough for the competition.

Abass was the Assistance coach for the U-19 team two years back when they won bronze and qualified to the division 1 stage for the U-19 World Cup qualifier.

 Beside the above, Abass has played along with most of the young Boys at club and at the national team level. The team manager has called on business houses and individual to render help to the team either with finance or medicine, water and several other things they need while training at the Kingtom Cricket grounds.
