KTR FC Fighting For Survival

After a break of two days over the weekend due to heavy down pour of rai,  the COFA Champions league resume on Monday with Kissy community defeating Calaba Tong 1-0.

On Tuesday Luawa FC forced Portuguese Town to a goalless draw at full time and on Wednesday Leicester City battled with Kanitonians but the results were known onto press time.

In today’s match, Congo Tong will host Murray Tong in a Western derby match at the Parade field.  Both communities have players that have been together for long.

These players have met each other in different competitions. Murray Tong and Congo Tong are in group F together with Kanitonians and Leicester City.

Among the four communities two communities will qualify to the group of 16 teams to battle for the quarter-final stage. So far in the various groups, after few matches played ,Bambra Tong is leading group A with 3 points in 1 match, followed by Adonkia and Wilkinson Road with 1 point each with the defending champions Kroo Town Road at the bottom with no point. In Group B, Wellington and Tengbeh Town have 3 points each, Central and Moa Wharf have no point. In group C, Soja Tong have 3 points followed by Dove Cut and Kossoh Tong with 1 point each.

The match will continue tomorrow with Dwazark hosting Aberdeen Road. On Saturday, Mountain City will lock horns with Fire Burn and on Sunday, Fulla Tong will battle with Susan’s Bay.
