The Proposed Chairman for Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA) Ing. Andrew Keili has said that EDSA is not in good shape, noting that electricity is one of the commodities which everyone needs.

He made this statement when journalists interviewed him after he faced the committee on appointment on Monday August 5at Parliament Building Tower hill in Freetown.

He informed journalists that the status of EDSA is not good and that they need to improve EDSA, noting that there are reforms he will champion after Parliamentary approval.

He said that Government will have to provide policy guidelines while they should allow them as board to provide oversight on administrative, fiduciary and cooperate governance of EDSA.

He told Journalists his appointment as Board Chairman will not stop him from writing Ponder My Thoughts.

When journalists asked him why he was not grilled by the committee, he responded that he did not know why he was not grilled by the appointment committee.

He pointed out that he had worked at the electricity sector before and that he has done a lot of consultancies even on the recent MCC project and energy policy for Sierra Leone

Also, Broadcaster, Asmaa James was interviewed as proposed Deputy Ambassador to Belgium/Brussels for which the Female Parliamentarians showered praises on her.

Ibrahim Turay proposed Ambassador of Sierra Leone Embassy Dakar, Senegal, Luseni Kallon proposed Deputy Ambassador Sierra Leone Monrovia Liberia, Fatmata Sawaneh Proposed Deputy Ambassador Sierra Leone Conakry, Guinea; Kabineh Kallon Proposed Chairman National Revenue Authority, Edward Lebbie Williams Proposed Chairman Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority, Catherine Patricia Francess Turay Proposed Commissioner Southern Region Tertiary Education Commission and Rev Thomas Barnett proposed member Board of Trustees Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation were also interviewed.
