A Place Of Hope (APOH), a USA-Sierra Leone based non-profitable organization has been officially launched in Freetown.
The launching which took place over the weekend at their Freetown headquarters, Mammah Street was followed by feeding of dozens within the Brookfileds Community.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of APOH who is based in the United State of America, Sister Henrietta Jones explained that APOH was born out of the need to reach out to their fellow citizens to provide nutritious meals to children during the Pandemic.
She continued to say APOH is a non-profit organization that provides weekly nutritious meals to children and baby food to infants aged 6 to12 months in underprivileged communities to help with their developmental growth and eradicate hunger.
She said APOH as a way of bringing hope, strength and courage rising to greater good embark on its Jesus Cares Campaign with a massive feeding program for hundreds of children targeting infant and mother.
She disclosed that APOH also provides scholarships to university and school age children in Freetown. Currently, APOH has provided over 15000 meals, baby food and lunch to kids and infants since September of 2019 in 25 locations in Freetown, adding that APOH continues to feed their children and infants weekly, and is currently reaching out to other locations in Freetown.
Pastor Michel Device expressed thanks to Sister Henrietta Jones for launching such organization in the country.
He said plans to extend the gesture of feeding children into other regions are underway and that they are dedicated to providing meals to their children who are their future Teachers, Lawyers, President, Judges, Politicians, Secretaries, Bank Personnels, Mothers, Fathers, Doctors, Engineers, Mayors, Counselor, and so on.
APOH work of reaching out to the needy has been described as a need for one to give hope and encourage the future generation of better days.
APOH usually provides Bennie Mix as the best for children, such ingredients help babies to grow healthier.
