FREETOWN, Apr. 11 (232news.com) – In line with their dream for every member of their family to be vaccinated by the end of the first quarter of 2022, One of Sierra Leone’s biggest and finest mobile company, Africell over the weekend celebrated their 100% vaccination.

The colourful celebration which took place at the company’s headquarters at Wilberforce in Freetown was graced by management and staff of the company.

Before cutting the celebration cakes, Africell Managing Director, Shadi Gerjawi congratulated staff for the 100% vaccination. He said been vaccinated help them to not only protect themselves but their families, friends and customers.

The Africell MD continued to say the 100% vaccination was something they targeted for the first quarter of 2022 and they have achieved it as planned.

He disclosed that it is now one of their policies for any new employee to come with his or her vaccination card as requirement for employment.

He added that staff were given the choice to choose they type of vaccine they wanted among the different ones.

He thanked the Ministry of Health and Sanitation for their tremendous support to be at the company’s offices to vaccinate staff and also thanked the staff for their commitment in the process.

Africell Managing Director expresses hope that other companies will follow Africell good example as through that the country will be free from COVID.

Africell Media Manager, John Konteh emphasised on the value Africell have for itS staff, their family and their customers. He said protection should always come first in whatever they are doing and through that they can stop the virus.

“100% vaccinated, for us it a celebration and it a goal we committed to and have achieved”.

He outlineD some of the department the company have which includes: Marketing and Communication, Printing, Customer Care, Outdoor, Creation, Audio, Corporate Sales, Business Development, Research and Intelligence, Media, Branding, Direct Sales, Outlets and Multimedia.

The largest department which is the commercial department was the last to complete their vaccination on the Thursday 7th April 2022.

Statements were also made by the Human Resource Managers of the company. Staff expressed joy and thanked the management for always considering their safety.
