FREETOWN, Nov. 10 (232News) – Sierra Leone biggest GSM operator Africell has signed partnership with Kabaka Multimedia and Entertainment (KME) to bring the biggest festival in the country ECOFEST.
The official signing took place on Tuesday, 9th November, 2021 at Africell headquarters in Freetown.
In his welcome remarks, Africell Media Manager, John Konteh assured fans that Africell will ensure that they provide the best sound system in the country that will trill fans to the end of the show.
He recalled that the relationship between Africell and KME started back in the madden edition of ECOFEST some five years ago.
He described the show as one that will not only showcase Sierra Leone but Africa as a whole.
Africell is providing advertising space, E-ticket platform, good sound system that will power the stadium among others as part of the agreement.
Afrimoney Head of Distribution, Marcus Berdie spoke about the E-ticket wish will paved the way for less stress and confusion at the entrance.
“Gate ticketing has always been a problem for shows at the National Stadium but we are here to solve that problem by providing E-Ticketing service through afrimoney platform”.
He explained that one can get his or her E-Ticket via afrimoney by dialing *277#. He added that with any transaction one does with afrimony short code platform that individual will get free 1.2GB and a unique password which he/she will use to collect their E-Ticket at any Africell Customer Care center from the 20th November, 2012.
The Chief Executive Officer, Kabaka Multimedia and Entertainment, Abu Bakar Turay recalled that KME started as a record label and later move to event.
He said he owed a lot to africell for their present position.
“Africell has sponsored us for the past 5 years. This is the year africell surpasses our expectation. They go the extra mile for us to make sure that we succeed this year. This is the greatest package we are getting from Africell for us to showcase not only Sierra Leone but Africa.”
He emphasized that the E-Ticket is a grand breaking event and it will be use for the first time in Sierra Leone.
Kabaka described buying ticket at the gate as a backward thing and it causes lot of queue which will eventually resulted in stealing and fighting among others.
When you get your code you will get your ticket from all Africell customers care center and all Skye Bank branches.
This year ECOFEST will start with an entertainment conference on the 25th November 25th follow by the VIP show at Radisson Blu.
On the 26th November, 2021 at the National Stadium the festival will start with a cultural show with representative from each districts starting from 11AM to 7 PM as school children are invited to watch the event.
Day two at the National Stadium 27th November, 2021 will start at 5PM till late.
Kabaka’s dream is to make the festival the biggest in Africa as it is the biggest in Sierra Leone as guest artists from different African countries will fully participated.
