FREETOWN, July 14 (232news.com) – Afrimoney and Watu championed poverty alleviation among youths in Sierra Leone. Wtau is a microfinance institution which helps young entrepreneurs with loan in the form of bike (OKADA) to start a business in Sierra Leone.
Watu is one of Sierra Leone’s leading financing companies, providing okada loan to thousands of aspiring business owners in Sierra Leone. Afrimoney and watu made a presentation of a brand new bike to the winner of the Afrimoney Okada Bomba monthly draw. This draw was done for Watu’s clients who made weekly payment for their bikes via Afrimoney.
Last Friday June 10, Watu in collaboration with Afrimoney handed over a brand new bike to Kadiatu Kargbo in Lumley, Crab town junction. Kadiatu Kargbo is a business woman who is also a Watu client. Madam Kadiatu Kargbo emerged as the winner among thousands of Watu’s clients who made their monthly payment to Watu via Afrimoney.
Kadiatu Kargbo the first winmer of Afrimoney Okada Bomba draw thanked Watu and Afrimoney for maintaining integrity in keeping their words. She encouraged other people to loan bike from Watu, do their weekly payment via Afrimoney and their problems will be over.”Im now a proud owner of two bikes and can now send my son to university without fear,” she said.
Ken Saro-Wiwa Faofana a representative from Watu said watu is doing this presentation in partnership with Afrimoney and Africell not just to empower young entrepreneur but to give back to society. He further said that Watu has helped many young people to become self-reliance in society.

Mohamed A T Nabieu, Public Relation Officer for Sierra Leone bike riders Association said bike riders have suffered for far too long in the hands of wicked people.
“Some of our members have worked for many years but could not afford to buy bike for themselves and some have suffered from bike theft,” he said. Mr Nabieu affirmed that over one thousands of their members have secured bikes from Watu and many have completed payment.
“Many are now proud bike owners and watu has helped many people to gain financial freedom in Sierra Leone,” he added.
Mr Barrie from Afrimoney encouraged other bike riders to take advantage of this opportunity. “A lucky winner has just won a brand new bike.
