FREETOWN, Jan. 27 (232news.com) – The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) and General Overseer of Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly has expressed determination to work, believing in God for the 7 pillars which he presented during their inauguration ceremony.
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly was speaking to this medium during their final 2021 general meeting at the Bethel Temple International Ministries, Tower Hill.
The meeting which was very strategic for PFSL as a body, focused on fellowship, interaction and 2022 projection.
The PFSL President expressed determination to work for the church to be strengthened, evangelization of the nation and raising of people that will touch other nations.
He emphasized that whatever progress he made is for the body of Christ not for self.
“What we are building is for national interest and for the sake of the kingdom. It is important that will stand and make our voices known.”
PFSL is a fellowship of pastors and churches that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit, the baptisms of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongue, PFSL believes that the Word of God is the authority of God on earth and the Bible is the true word of God. PFSL also believes in the unity of the body and believes that they cannot stay in isolation of each other.
“PFSL is a body that encompasses brethren all around the country. There are people that belong to different ministerial fellowships, in different towns and districts but PFSL is a national platform that focus on the work God has placed on us and how to build the capacity to reach to the place God expect us to reach. It is a place God Has called us on how we should grow in Him. We are standing to give each other support and covering.”
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly went on to say PFSL is representing the Pentecostal in various matters including governmental issues and also stand and speak on behalf of all Pentecostal.
He spoke about their regular meetings and monthly fellowship for the past 18 years.
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly was elected into office on October 6th 2020, he continues the regular monthly meeting.
Before coming to office, PFSL operations was mainly in Freetown with small representation in the province but since he took over they took the Fellowship to another level in which they began to meet in different places in Freetown as a means of taking PFSL to the people followed by provincial tours because they don’t want PFSL to be seen only in Freetown as was the case.
“Today only one district PFSL has not yet enter which is Falaba. The district chapters that have been setup have reached different chiefdoms. In one year, we have strengthened what our name is that is representing Sierra Leone. Leadership have been appointed in all these areas so that they impact others.”
Last month PFSL hosted their 365 days in office conference in Freetown which saw a large turnout with representatives from all those districts.
PFSL also took part in providing relief items for Susan’s Bay fire victims and donated to the Wellington fuel tanker explosion.
They represent the Church when it was closed, participated with the Body of Christ on various issues and also visited top official for feminization.
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly as part of his challenges said his four years’ vision which he spoke about was misinterpreted.
He emphasized that PFSL did not shutdown any other fellowship as some people loyalty is base to individual instead of organization.
“Overwhelming butyou don’t allow challenges to stop or hinder you. Some of those challenges may come from your mistake. My one year in office has been a very great one.”
He said one of the things challenges and opposition are doing is to help you to discover your strength.
“There are times you never know the strength God Has place on you until you fight and push through.”
The PFSL President described the Fellowship as one that has brought greater interaction, partnership and collaboration within pastors in cities, towns and districts.
“This has been a very good year, one that give us the courage for more years. We are not a project driven or oriented Fellowship, we are an evangelization drive Fellowship.”
Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly encouraged other pastors to come on board as there is no need for them to stand back or misconception for standing along.
“There are lot of things you are missing by staying out. I am encouraging pastors to come on board, we need each other, there is always a situation that will humble you to show that we need each other as a Body. We have the common enemy that is the devil, we are not competing to fight the body, we are collaborating with other umbellar body, you can have your fellowship and ministerial groups. It is a great plus in the lives of pastors to come on board to add to the strength on the Body.”
He concluded by saying every other body have his own strength.
