The Secretary General of All Peoples Congress Party (APC) Lansana Dumbuya has said that his party did not recognize President Bio as President of Sierra Leone.

He said that their party put out a statement on June 30th in which they said that they would not take part in any governance and that they lack trust in key institution of the country including the police and the Judiciary.

He was speaking on rumors about dialogue between the APC and the government, noting that for any dialogue going on there must be truth.

He explained that in the dialogue they want the truth about the elections result and not skewed result because according to what they in the APC are saying is not different from what the observers have said.

“There is no election that is 100% free and fair but the right thing must be done,” he noted.

The Secretary General went on to say that the APC did not have problem with the SLPP but they have problem with the government pointing out that the call for dialogue is good.

He stated that it is the grassroots of the party and the electorates who took decision for members of parliament and councilors that has been elected not to participate in governance.
