Director General of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Cooperation Joseph Ebenda Kapuwa

FREETOWN, Sep. 28 (232News) –Director General of Sierra Leone Broadcasting Cooperation Joseph Ebenda Kapuwa presented over 5 Billion budget for the Financial Year 2022 to the Fiscal Risk Management at the Ministry Of Finance that is looking budgets of State Own Enterprises headed by Dr. Alhassan Mansaray, Director of Fiscal Risk Management.

Kapuwa made this presentation last Thursday September 24 at the HRMO’s Conference room at George Street in Freetown.

He highlighted the key deliverables for 2022 to transform SLBC into enviable broadcaster, covering of all election activities; national inclusion, live coverage across the country and establishing studios across the country.

According to him, SLBC financial performance is becoming more and more challenging in view of the COVID- 19 Pandemic as there has been a significant slump in revenue generation, adding that they are trying to transform SLBC from analogue to digital.

Kapuwa informed officials that staff with first degree received Le600, 000 which according to him, is distasteful.

Aaron Browne said that it is pitiful for a graduate to receive that kind of money and that the Ministry would have to look into it.
