The President of the Sierra Leone Paralympic Committee Unisa Deen Kargbo while in Bahrain for the International Paralympic Committee meeting met with HE Prince Ali Mohamed Almajed the Secretary General of Bahran Paralympic Committee. During their discussion, Unisa presented the Sierra Leone Paralympic Committee to him and share several other things pertaining the committee with him. He told him that it was a great opportunity to meet with him as he wanted the two countries to have a tie and share experiences. UDK told the Prince that they were new in the para sports and they needed help from those that had been in it for long. He explained to the Prince that they have several physical challenged persons; both men and women ready to do sports. But he said they were in dire need for equipment like wheelchairs, playing facilities and that funds have always been their greatest challenge. At the end there was an agreement for Mutual Corporation.
During the General meeting the Paralympic family grew to 208 members as IPC welcomed five new members. The five new members were Bangladesh, Kosovo, IFs of FIS and IBU ratified as new members, while Saudi Arabia was integrated NOC-NPC. The IPC Members welcomed the new members and promised to help them develop the various Para sports in the five countries. The IPC acted as international Federation for six Para sports namely World Para Athletics, World Para Dance Sports World Para Ice Hockey, World Para Powerlifting, World Para Shooting Para Sport and World Para Swimming. With all the above the IPC’s vision is to make for an inclusive world though Para he said.
