FREETOWN –The Media Network Movement has presented an outstanding award to Sierra Leone’s finest and cleanest hotel Human Resource Manager, Lonnel Saied Kargbo of Atlantic Lumley Hotel.
The award which recognized the HR’s role in that hotel stands for outstanding performance in the hospitality industry in Sierra Leone.
Doing the presentation at a colorful ceremony at the hotel premises on Monday 15th February, 2021, Ibrahim Isaac Mansaray head of Media Network Movement said they are not asking people to vote because they want to give credible awards to deserving people.
He continued to say that they also believed as an organization in recognizing people in their place of work.
He spoke about their findings during their investigation at the hotel and the outstanding work the HR is doing for the hotel and it staff.
He pointed out that they in line with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Affairs stand for best practice that is why they did their research well to get the best out of the rest.
“After our investigation, we are giving award based on merit. We need trusted institutions. We don’t know Mr. Kargbo and he (Mr Kargbo) doesn’t know us, we did our investigation because we are not just awarding people but one that is credible.”
He ended by disclosing that Atlantic Lumley Hotel is the cleanest hotel they have seen of which he commended the management and staff.
After receiving the award, Atlantic Lumley Hotel Human Resource Manager, Lonnel Saied Kargbo while thanking Media Network Movement for recognizing him, described 2020 as challenging year for them.
He informed his audience that the award is not him alone but for all of them because they made it possible.
He also thanked the management and staff for their commitment and determination in the hotel.
“We all deserve it, let the Lord make it possible for us to continue to work as a team and win more prestigious awards.”
Management and staff were pleased for such recognition as the hotel stands the test of time during the peak of Covid-19 in Sierra Leone. Some of the staff said they felt proud to be part of the team and for them to be part of the test of time.
