The Speaker of the house of Sierra Leone Parliament, Hon Dr. Abass Chernor Bah said that the clock is ticking on those MPs who decided to boycott Parliament.

He made this statement this past Thursday 17 August when it marked about 13 seating missed by the boycotted All People Congress (APC) MPs and at the    same time appealed to the 52 members of Parliament to take their seat in parliament as what Hon Mohamed Bangura and Hon Alfred Ayodele Thompson have done.

He said that they are representing the people and that the clock is ticking to the 30 days for the 52 members of parliament because if they fail to come to Parliament, their mandate will expire soon according to the law.

Hon Bundu advised them to come to parliament and represent their people, noting that they should put their country first as Parliament is working in line with the constitution and the law.

The Deputy Whip Hon Tawa Conteh reminded the MPs about sections 93 and 94 of the constitution of the sixth Parliament, urging them to come to parliament and take up their responsibilities as members of parliament. He further reminded them of Standing Order 77(2,) noting that that the clock is ticking. He appealed to 52 members of parliament to do the needful to represent their people before it too late.
