Bambra Tong Ready For The Battle

The battle for the quarter-final stage will start today with Bambra  Tong hosting Ascension Town at the Parade field Circular Road in Freetown. The round of 16 stage according to the organizers is a knock-out stage as the winner will qualify straight to the quarter-final stage. If any match ends with draw results the two teams will go into penalty kicks to find the winner. According to source all the 16 teams have strengthen their teams for the knock-out stage. Some have players who were engage in the CAF Club competitions who have return. On the side of Bambra Tong they will miss their no 1 goalkeeper Isaac Caulker who will be with the Leone Stars team for the Chad and Zambia Nations Cup qualifier. On Tuesday Soja Tong will battle with the defending champions Kroo Town Rangers. The defending champions have vow to retain the champion trophy and tomorrow’s match will not be an exception. The defending champions too will miss their top striker Musa Noah Kamara as he too will be with Leone Stars in Liberia and in Zambia. The quarter-final battle will continue on Wednesday when Tengbeh Town will engage Fourah Bay community. Aberdeen community will battle with Central community on Thursday at the Parade field. Kissy will host Fire Burn who narrowly escape into the group of 16 teams on Friday and on Saturday Mountain City will host Portuguese Tong. The winners over the weekend will battle with the other qualifiers on Sunday and Monday.
