FREETOWN, July 25 (SALONE TIMES) – The Sierra Leone Cricket Association has released four adverts for four jobs in the association. Among them are the position for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Accountant, Head Coach for the senior male national team (Patriot) and the Cricket Development Manager.

The Chairman of the Cricket Board said they have done the advert based on the advice of the ICC Africa officials who recently visited Sierra Leone.

Based on the above, he said in a board meeting that they decided to advertise the four jobs. He went on that the key point in their advert was that the positions of the CEO, Accountant and the Cricket Development Officer are full-term jobs and that the person must be someone that is not employed elsewhere.

In the case of the CEO, he said he or she should be the head of administration in the association and should have an office at the Cricket head office and should make himself available at any giving time they need him or her, same as the accountant who should take care of the account of the association.

The Cricket Development Officer on daily basis will take the game to the schools and the communities to catch the young players.

The Chairman said because of the payment of salaries and other expenditures involve the above three jobs is limited to Sierra Leoneans or candidates residing in Sierra Leone.

In the case of the head coach, he said they want a high profile coach for the senior national team. The senior male national team will be taking part in the ICC Africa Men’s T20 World Cup qualifier in Rwanda November 2022.  The role of the head coach he said is to qualify the team for 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in America. The closing date of all the application is on the 30th July 2022.
