FREETOWN, July 22 (SALONE TIMES) – The Sierra Leone Cricket Association after electing Board Members has now advertised executive positions for their members and non-members to apply. In the election they elected Francis Trevor Samura as the Board Chairman, Martin Michael as Deputy Board’s Chairman, Gabriel Anthony as Technical Director, Emmanuel Pessima as Director of Development and Elizabeth French as Female Cricket Director. According to their constitution executive positions should be appointed by the board members. In this case for transparency the Board members have advertised four of the strategic executive positions for candidates to apply. Among the positions to apply for are The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Commercial Manager, Cricket Development Manager and the Chief Operation Officer. The Association wants qualified candidates to apply for the four positions from the 13th July to the 23rd July2021 as the closing date. For the position of the CEO the candidate applying needs to aware that the position may include extensive out of hours work including domestic travel on a regular basis. His or her job will be a full time employee and must report to the Chairman Board of Directors of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association. The new CEO must provide expert strategic advice and visionary leadership to ensure the association delivers on its mission for cricket. The successful candidate will be an experience Chief Executive or senior executive with exceptional management and strategic leadership skills. The Cricket Development Manager will be a pivotal member of the executive management team. He/ She will have responsibility for coordinating and supporting all aspects of the domestic cricketing landscape in order to let the game grow and many more. The Commercial Manager candidate also need to aware that the position may include extensive out of hours work including domestic travel on a regular basis. The successful candidate must serve as a company leader, overseeing day to day operations and focusing on the long term interests of the business. He or she must be able to pursues new business opportunities and manage functions such as company associations, employee activities evaluations and other matters that will relate to the company’s operation and many more.
The Chief Operation Officer’s (COOs) needs to aware that the position may include extensive out of hours work including domestic travel on a regular basis. The COO will be responsible for managing the logistics associated with running a business and carrying out all the company’s essential duties. These include creating an employee taxonomy and management structure, auditing various workplace processes and implementing new strategies to improve efficiency and communication across all part of a company’s supply and distribution chain and many more. The successful candidates duties and responsibilities will be mentioned in their acceptance letters after undergoing interviews. The Chairman Francis Trevor Samura also stated that the doors of the association’s headquarter at the Kingtom Ovals is always open on working hours for further information’s on the above positions.
