FREETOWN – President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio on Thursday 24 September received the reports of the three separate Judge led commissions of inquiry (COI) as well as the white papers.
In accepting the reports, the President said that the only option for corruption is for the people to confront it boldly and resolutely.
He charged the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to go after persons of interests while at the same time, encouraging the persons of interest to use the option of the Appeals Court.
He also warned that people who are bent on inciting that they will face the full force of the law.
In the white paper of Dr Justice Bankole Thompson, property of Former President Koroma at Nos 6 and 8 Femi Turner Drive, Goderich and the one in Robureh, Makeni, Bombali District should be confiscated by the state.
That two other properties supposedly belonging to former President Koroma at Blue Blell Spur Road and Gbangba Yilla, Hill respectively were denied ownership and they were declared bona vacantia (ownerless property) and therefore should be confiscated by the state.
That the former President had questionable financial relationship with a Chinese Company Xinlin Mining (SL) Ltd.
