The outgoing President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Dr. Patrick Coker on Saturday 21st January 2023 organized a social function at his Tengbeh Town resident for NOC members and staff. In his statement, Dr. Coker said after his two term office as NOC President he is now quitting as a president for both NOC and the Sierra Leone Handball Association. He appealed to the members and staff of NOC to work diligently with the newly elected president Prince Vandy Sualley so that he can succeed.
Dr. Coker said he was leaving but he will be available at any time they need him. After his statement he presented gifts to three vital executive members for meritorious and dedicated service during his two term in office. The three executive members were Joseph Nyande formally the Secretary General for NOC and now the CEO, Prince Vandy Sualley former Treasurer now the president of NOC and Unisa Deen Kargbo former Chef De Mission now the new Treasurer. These people he said worked hard to let him succeed during his term of office. In return some of the Sporting disciplines also gave him a gift as a sign of appreciation for his diligent work with them. They all promised that they will work wholeheartedly with the new president.
