FREETOWN – In line with the practice and teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ, Eternity Ministries Sierra Leone and Nigeria chapters have donated food Items to Blessed Mokaba Community Hospital and the Milton Margai School for the Blind respectively.

The donation which took place over the weekend was also done in collaboration with Thorough Empowerment and Development for Women and Girls in Sierra Leone (TEDEWOSIL) includes 15 bags of rice, 5 bags onions, seven 5 gallons cooking oil, dozens of salt and maggie at the cost of seven million Leones.

Eternity Ministries is a teaching Ministries in Sierra Leone with headquarters based in Abuja Nigeria.  

In her introductory remarks, Rev. Martha Chigozie, Chief Executive Director, Thorough Empowerment and Development for Women and Girls in Sierra Leone (TEDEWOSIL) pointed out that they were making the donation due to the love of Christ.

She said their presence was to show their appreciation to the hospital and school for their good work and what they are doing that was why they were making such donation.

Eternity Ministries Sierra Lone National Coordinator, Victor Brandon disclosed that Eternity Ministries is global reached Ministries whose headquarters is based in Abuja Nigeria.

He went on to say Eternity Ministries has been in Sierra Leone for over 10 years as a Christians Ministry with the vision of maximizing Calvary and to live with eternity in view in this world. He added that they are teaching ministries not a church that has truth institute and literatures.

He pointed out that as Christian ministries they are aware of what the Lord Jesus Christ was doing when He was in this earth to the people that can’t afford that is why they decided to support in their own small way as the Covid-19 has stretched resources of other institution, stressing that they are giving to organization that focuses on the underprivileged.

He reflected during the time of Sierra Leone Ebola, the supports they gave to the waterloo community and Moyamba river line areas.

“We are preaching Christ and pointing people to Christ but at the same time we are not neglecting the physical aspect in human development. We believed when we point people to Christ, their lives will be transformed.” He said. 

He disclosed further that Eternity Ministries have bible study every Thursdays 12 Beoku Lane off Congo Cross at 5:00 PM, radio program every Thursdays 12:30 at BBN, literatures and outreach program among others.  

Mrs. Josephine Nhabay, Founder Blessed Mokaba Community Hospital which is situated at Sibthorpe Street off Regent Road in the Central Business Area of Freetown said they started as a clinic but God promoted them to hospital due to their facilities and hardworking team.

She said the hospital has been a source of help for the needy including the destitute as they are not only serving the community they operate but across the city.

She thanked Eternity Ministries and TEDEWOSIL for their support and described it as first of its kind to see organization donating such items to a hospital.

“The big medicine is food not tabs because when we want to administer medicine we ask the patients if he or she has eaten. This is a big thing you have done for us. Let God give you the grace to win more souls for Christ”

Madam Nhabay hoped this will not be the end but one that will continue even from other organization.

Sallieu Turay, Principal Milton Margai School for the Blind gave a brief background of the school and extended their appreciation to the government of Sierra Leone and partners like Eternity Ministries and TEDEWOSIL for their timely supports.

He disclosed that they have over 80 pupils in the boarding home but most of them have been sent home due to the Covid-19 and only those that are taking exams are currently in school.

He disclosed that they are feeding the children three times a day and when they have full school session they always a bag of rice per day. The donation will help to ease the dire need of the school and the hospital that are taking care of destitute among others
