The Sierra Leone premier league continued last Friday 3 March at the Angola field in Freetown with FC Kallon defeating East End Lions 2-1 to maintain 3rd position in the premier league table.

Before the match, FC Kallon was in the same 3rd position but with the same points with Lions and Diamond Stars. FC Kallon lead them on goals different in favor.

The match was delayed for some minutes to start as both teams were with the same red color of jerseys. At the end the visitors Lions were asked to wear bibs on top of their red jerseys.

The first half of the match ended with a goalless draw. The visitors East End Lions openned the goals scoring in the 50th minutes of the match by former Bo Rangers winger Prince Barrie.

Ten minutes after the goal FC Kallon equalized through former Lions striker Alie Conteh (Inzozi) in the 60th minutes of the second half.

The Cavalians FC Kallon came into the game and changed the tempo of the match and piled more pressure for a winning goal. In the 72 minutes, Lions defender Abdul R Conteh scored an own goal bringing the result to 2-1 in favor of the host FC Kallon.

Kallon maintained the 2-1 lead with defensive back up until the end of the full time of the game. Kallon now maintain the third position with 26 points in 15 matches played.

Diamond Stars in 4th position with a match at hand need to win with more than three goals to kick FC Kallon out of the third position in the league table. Kallon are behind the league leaders Bo Rangers with 8 points.

The 8 points different will increase to 11 points if the Rangers are the winners in their home match against Eastend Tigers in Bo on Saturday.

FC Kallon are behind the second place Blackpool with 2 points but with Blackpool to face Kamboi Eagles in Kenema.
