Five Sporting disciplines according to the Chef De Mission of Sierra Leone Yayah Koroma have qualify to take part in the Africa Beach Games that will be hosted in Tunisia June 2023. The five sports are Athletics, Wrestling, Volleyball, Swimming and Teqball. In the competition the Athletics athlete will represent Sierra Leone in the beach Marathon, Wrestling will take part in the Beach Wrestling, and Volleyball male team will take part in the Beach Volleyball competition. The Swimmers will take part in the open water competition and the Teqball in the beach Teqball competition. The Africa Beach Games will kick-start on the 23rd – 30th June 2023 in Hammamet, Tunisia. The five sports are presently engaged in training at the beach awaiting the departure date to Tunisia. According to the Chef De Mission they have done all the paper work for the Games awaiting for the government to provide the fund. He went on that he is sure that the five sports will return home with laurels for the country. The advantage of it he said most of the athletes are not new to international competitions. Ten days to the departure date the coaches said they are now on fitness training to keep the athletes fit for the Games.
