The Sierra Leone Women’s national team will play their last group match tomorrow against Eswatini after resting today. The Women’s Patriots started their campaign in the group stage against Cameroon in the afternoon at BCA 2 in Botswana. On Sunday they engage Mozambique at the BCA1 Ovals but the results of the two matches onto press time over the weekend. In the two groups of 4 countries each two countries will qualify from each group for the semi-final stage. According to the tournament format the four semi-finalist will stay while the other four countries will return home after tomorrow’s match. The semi-final matches will start on Wednesday with the runner-up in group A taking on the group leader of Group B at the BCA1 Ovals in the morning at 9:30am Botswana time. In the second semi-final match the runner-up in group B will take on the leader of Group A at the BCA1 Ovals in the afternoon at 2:00pm. The four teams will rest on Thursday 7th September 2023. On Friday the 8th September 2023 the 3rd place play-off will take place at the BCA1 Ovals in the morning and the final match in the afternoon at the same Ovals. The two finalists will automatically qualify to the division 1 qualifier that will take place in December 2023 at Uganda.
