Following the end of tripartite committee and it subsequent submission to the committee report to President Bio, some members of the opposition have been talking about electoral justice and not electoral reform.
The issue of electoral justice has come mainly from supporters of the former Flagbearer of the main opposition APC, Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara who believed that the election is yet to be completed and that they demanding for electoral justice.
It is in that regard, the President responded by stating that there is no electoral justice.
“If you want electoral justice, go to the court. Tripartite will not give electoral justice. The court is still open,” he noted.
He said that he was the one who brought the tripartite because the opposition said that they will not talk to him and therefore, called on the international community to intervene.
“Nobody forced me to bring the tripartite, I was the one who talked about it in Parliament,” he said.
President Bio explained that he invited the international community for the tripartite because he has nothing to hide, boasting that he won the election.
He said that the recommendations are no different from the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) Recommendations, pointing out that they have started implementing the Tripartite Committee Report.
He further said that people should not allow evil people to call them out on the street to kill public officials, pointing out that they will only be able to develop Sierra Leone when there is peace and stability.
President Bio took the opportunity to condemn one of the Presidential Aspirants of his party Abdul Kadiru Kaikai, noting that they have already suspended him and that disciplinary action will be taken against them for incendiary comments.
